IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE ALL YOUR CONTACT INFORMATATION ON YOUR RESUME
To process your information into our system we will need three things emailed as Microsoft Word attachments.
- 1. A properly constructed sales resume.
Your name and contact information should be centered on the top of the page. Also, keywords are important for search/scanning purposes. Label your attachment using your last name.
- 2. A description of what you want and need in a new position/profile. (See "JOB SEEKERS")
- 3. List of professional references. References should include past managers and other sales representatives who will stand up for you and your work. Please DO NOT include references that could jeopardize your current position.
In general a sales resume should help you sell yourself. It should state what you sold and to whom you sold it. It should also state your sales accomplishments and awards won, which you should be able to support with a brag book or sales portfolio.
RESUME
Your resume must include the following:
- 1. Your title (If you are in sales, please include "sales" in your title)
- 2. Your home and cell phone numbers. (Avoid phone tag, please include these on your resume, not in the body of an e-mail.)
- 3. Your personal e-mail address.
- 4. A brief description of your company and what you sell and who you sell to. (You may be dealing with a manager that may not be familiar with your company or industry. Please include brand of products sold and clients or industries you sell to. ie A FORTUNE 500 CO. SELLING DISPOSABLES TO THE HOSPITAL)
- 5. Types of formal sales training.
- 6. Ranking among peers and awards won.
- 7. Documented sales performance, including percent over quota.
* LABEL your attachment using your last name so it is easily tracked and searched in our system. (ie: Smith.doc). Also, make sure your full name AND PHONE NUMBERS (CELL/HOME) appears in your e-mail.
Remember, a solid sales resume helps pre-sell you, and in some cases helps you secure an interview. You are the product and you are selling yourself.
